If you have some turkey, or substitute something else for a turkey, have a happy Thanksgiving.
The darkness is out there. It's out there and it's waiting. Maybe it's behind that clock you're watching. Maybe it's under that welcome mat. Just when your day is going good, it pops out and taps you on the shoulder as if to say ''hey, you haven't forgotten about me, have you?'' Oh yes, you can try to fight it back with flashlights. You can try to scare it away with fire. But this is the kind of darkness that isn't afraid of those kinds of things. It is whole, absolute, pressing. This is an uninvited guest that will brush pass you on it's way to the guest room to unpack it's stinking luggage.
Just wait it out. You'll wake up one morning to find it gone, and it won't even leave you a cup of coffee on it's way out.
